In the book of the Prophet Jacob, God revealed His messages to Yaqub: ‘He has indeed revealed to you as He revealed to Noah and the prophets after him, and as He revealed to Ibrahim, Ishmael, Ishaq, Yaqub and the Tribes, Jesus and Job, Jonah and Aaron and Solomon, and He gave David the Psalms’ – Surah 4:163. Yaqub advised his sons to believe in God and not to die unless they had submitted themselves fully to God (Surah 2:132). Yaqub wrestles with God. God tells Yaqub it is time for Him to go, but Yaqub will not allow the Lord to go until he receives his blessing. Surah 19:49:50 In Surah 21:72, God bestowed on Ibrahim a son called Ishaq and a grandson named Yaqub as an additional gift, and God made them both anointed righteous prophets.
